Raejeanne Jule Schlieper, age 79, of Pittsfield, IL passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Home in Quincy, IL. She was born on June 24, 1941 in Quincy, IL to Raymond Leroy and Virginia Rose Creal Franklin.

Raejeanne grew up in Quincy and graduated from Quincy Notre Dame High School. She married Ernest Giroux and they had four children together. Raejeanne moved to Pike County and later married Zane Schlieper and he preceded her in death. Raejeanne was a member of Pittsfield Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed running a home daycare for many years and she enjoyed nurturing the children along the way. After retiring, she enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spent many joyful hours with them. Raejeanne always enjoyed dinner out and having great conversation while hanging out with her special girlfriends, Elizabeth Miller, Millie Harlow and tag-a-long, Willie. She enjoyed many hours of phone conversations with her sister, Candy. Raejeanne was an avid reader of romance novels and loved looking at and ordering from mail order catalogs.

She is survived by her daughters, Becky (Brad) Kingery of Pittsfield, IL, Cherie Emrick of Pittsfield, IL and Dawn Kirklin of Macomb, IL; eleven grandchildren, Jacob (Amy) Kingery, Joshua (Mandy) Kingery, Jeremiah (Amanda) Kingery, Jonas (Justice Scott) Kingery, Jonathan Kingery, Corey (Brittney) Emrick, Stephanie (Scott) Ulrich, David (Allison) Kingery, Nathan Giroux, Faith Giroux and Lanie Giroux; thirteen great grandchildren, Bella Joy Kingery, Beniah Kingery, Isaac Kingery, Canaan Kingery, Autumn Kingery, Joel Kingery, Owen Emrick, Anna Emrick, Tristen Brown, Zayah Kingery, Brennon Kingery, Ella Kingery and Jordyn Kingery; brother, Samuel Franklin of Quincy, IL; and sister, Candy Valeu of Quincy, IL.

Raejeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Virginia Franklin; son, Timothy E. Giroux; and great granddaughter, Blessing Noel.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church in Pittsfield, IL. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Memorials are suggested to be made to Calvary Baptist Local Missions. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. I am so sorry for your loss. It was always a pleasure to talk to Raejeanne. She had the absolute best laugh, it makes me smile to think about the smile in her voice. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
