Veronica L. Follis, age 60, of Pittsfield, IL passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at her home in Pittsfield. She was born on July 22, 1960 in Beardstown, IL to Hubert and Bertha Retzer Follis.

Veronica attended and graduated from Brown County schools and went on to attend Gem City College. She worked as a secretary for an insurance company and then went on to work for the United States Postal Service in Springfield and later transferred to Peoria. After she retired, she moved to Pike County to be closer to family. She loved cats and was a caretaker for many in the neighborhood. She was also an avid Cardinal baseball fan. Veronica loved going out to eat, especially to the Atlas Café for fish and enjoyed attending church dinners.

She is survived by brothers, Richard Follis of Baylis, IL, Greg Follis of Griggsville, IL, Jeff Follis of Bluffs, IL, Andy Follis of Springfield, IL, Dan Follis of Woodson, IL and Joe Follis of Mt. Sterling, IL.

Veronica was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Bertha Follis; and brothers, Herb Follis and David Follis.

All services will be held privately and cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials are suggested to be made to Pike County Animal Shelter or Barry Food Pantry. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.

Veronica's family,
I am so very sorry to just learn of Veronica's passing.
Veronica was always a happy girl. We were neighbors and rode the same school bus for many years.
May all the memories made with Veronica as you grew up and over the years help to ease your loss.
