Lois R. Yahne, 66, of Barry, IL passed away September 6, 2019 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. She was born November 1, 1952 in Pittsfield, IL to Lewis Gilbert and Roberta Lee (Garner) Allen. She married Jack Ruble in May 1969 and later married Charles “Butch” Yahne and he preceded her in death.

Lois attended Barry schools and was a past member of the Red Hat Society. She and Butch traveled all over the country and they put down roots in many different parts of the country. Wherever she lived she always got a job and worked.  She worked many jobs during her life, including working as a waitress, factory worker, trucker, casino clerk, gas stations and worked for many years at Brown Shoe Factory. She had most recently worked for ASPAQ (formerly Accutherm) in Monroe City until her retirement in 2015. In her retirement she divided her time between reading her Kindle with over 4000 books on it and computer games.

She is survived by two sons; Larry (wife Pascha) Allen of Eolia, MO and Jack Ruble II of New London, MO, seven grandchildren; Adam, Justin, Brandon, Reid, Creighton, Kenadi and Jonathan and a great granddaughter, Serena and great grandson, Keaton. Also surviving is a brother, Lewis G. Allen of Barry and sisters; Barbara Jean Motley and Cassandra “Coke” Nieders both of Barry.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband “Butch”.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry with Rev Polly McWilliams officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Pike County Animal Shelter. On line condolence may be sent to Nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry is handling the arrangements.

My deepest sympathy on the passing of your loved one. I will always remember Lois as a vibrant young woman who loved life and lived it to the fullest. May your memories of her bring you solace and comfort.

Larry & family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Lois and I go way back to school days.
She was always fun to he around and she had a great heart.
She loved family & she will be missed by many.
