Jacqueline Lorraine Snader, age 87, of Pittsfield, Illinois passed away on October 19, 2018 at the Liberty Village in Pittsfield, Ill.  She was born on December 14, 1930 in Chicago, Ill. to Carl Yngve and Lorraine Hecker Jernberg.  Jackie married her husband of 65 years,  Jack Thomas Snader on May 5, 1951 in Crystal lake, Ill., and he preceded her in death on June 14, 2016.

Jackie grew up in Chicago, Illinois near Wrigley Field,  and attended school there, but moved to Crystal Lake her senior year and graduated from Crystal Lake High School. Jackie met Jack in High School and after they married she became a housewife and mother.  After Jack retired, he and Jackie moved to South Carolina where they lived at Lake Keowee for nearly twenty years before moving back to Illinois.  Jackie was a wonderful seamstress, making all of her clothes and even made her daughter, Susan’s wedding dress.  She enjoyed reading and playing bridge.  Jackie was a huge Chicago Cub Fan, which began in her childhood from living so close to the stadium.  She also loved her dogs over the years.  

She is survived by ; a son Timothy (Linda) Snader of Evanston; a daughter, Susan (Tom) Barger of Pittsfield; eleven grandchildren, Jeremy Snader, Jason Snader, Katlyn Snader, Maddy ( fiancé, Stephen Moodie) Snader, Rebecca (Billy) Fitzmaurice, Jennifer (Tommy) Hannon, Daniel (fiancé, Kelsey Barnes) Barger, Joshua (Maggie) Snader, Alysa (Ryan) Scaccia, Carly Snader, Emma Ringstad;  four great-grandchildren; Clara Fitzmaurice, Miriam Fitzmaurice, Kaden Hannon, Raven Snader.  Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack and one son Thomas Sander.

Funeral services will be held on Friday October 26 at 1:00PM at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, Ill.  Interment will follow at the Blue River Cemetery near Detroit.  Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to the Blue River Cemetery Association.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  The Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield has been entrusted with the service.
