Junior Nicholson, 47 of Griggsville, IL passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.  Harold Lee Nicholson, Jr. was born on February 19, 1970 in Danville, IL, a son of Harold L. and Mary Irene Zimmerman Nicholson.  He married Jill Bradshaw on May 3, 2003 in Danville; she survives.

While living in Danville Junior worked for the Danville Township Highway Department. He was currently working for Hoffmeister Welding in Griggsville as a welder.  Junior attended the Griggsville Methodist Church and was a member of the Valley City Boat Club.

Junior loved to go fishing with his daughter, Calee, and made many loving memories with Calee on his beloved pontoon boat named "Miss Calee".  He enjoyed planting and tending to his vegetable garden, especially his tomatoes.  Going 4-wheeling, riding his motorcycle and camping was a great enjoyment to him.  He dearly loved his family and was so very proud of his daughter, Calee.

He is survived by his wife, Jill and his daughter, Calee Mary Nicholson, both of Griggsville; a brother, Larry (Wilma) Nicholson of Danville; two sisters, Linda Wilson of Danville and Billie Jo (Jeff) McDaniel of Westville, IL; an aunt, Marjorie Delong of Harrison, AR; and several nieces and nephews.  Also surviving are Junior's extended family, Jim & Carol Bradshaw of Pittsfield; a sister-in-law, Becky (Dan) Myers of Griggsville and a brother-in-law, David (Roselle) Bradshaw of Griggsville.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Sandy Chrzanoski, three brothers-in-law, Sonny Chrzanoski, Raymond Chrzanoski, Richard Wilson and two nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Mark Dickerson and Pastor Dave Kelly officiating.  Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home.  Interment will be in the Griggsville Cemetery.
