Anita Sue "Susie" Dixon, 68, of Pittsfield, IL passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Kepley House in Pittsfield.  She was born on July 11, 1949 in Hannibal, MO to Raymond and Doris Duncan Dixon.

Susie attended Higbee School in Pittsfield and enjoyed spending the winter months in Rockport, Texas with her parents.  After her mother passed away, she moved into the Kepley House in Pittsfield, which she loved.  Susie enjoyed all of the activities they did there, such as going to workshop, St. Louis Cardinals games, proms and cookouts.  She also entered the Special Olympics and even won a few gold medals.  Susie liked spending holidays with her family and also loved going to church at the Grace Baptist Church, where she was baptized and gave her life to Jesus, with family.

She is survived by an aunt, Freda Akers of Barry, IL; an uncle, Ray Seyl of Barry, IL; cousins, DeWayne Williams of Barry, IL, Chuck Hileman of Barry, IL, Jimmy Dixon of Barry, IL, Larry Dixon of Hannibal, MO, Randy Coultas of Barry, IL, Lillie Baker of New Canton, IL, Bonna Gratton of Barry, IL, R.C. Seyl of Barry, IL, Carolyn Watson of Branson, MO, Terry Lee Duncan of Peoria, IL, Michael Duncan of Peoria, IL, and Kathy Matson of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Leslie "Butch" Dixon.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the Pittsfield West Cemetery with Pastor Dice officiating.  There will be a visitation prior to the service at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM.  Memorials are suggested to Kepley House or Grace Baptist Church in Pittsfield.  Online condolences may be left to the family at  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

I remember going to school with Anita when we were kids. She always had a smile for everyone. I’m so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to learn of Susie's passing. When they lived in Barry as children I playedwith Susie & Butch. We were all around the same age. Just recently came across a picture of us
