Thomas Jean Joseph Wallace, age 41 and formerly of Barry, Illinois, was born in Pittsfield, Illinois, to Patty (Mike Williams) Touchette and Scott (Renda) Wallace.
Tommy grew up in Rushville and graduated from Rushville High School, Rushville, Illinois, in 2001. Being a jack of all trades and master of most, he worked at Maschhoff’s, cooked at Milky’s, Heartland Lodge, Panda and several area restaurants. He loved to cook, hunt for rocks and arrowheads, was a talented artist and musician, and had a loving, big heart. Tommy cared for all, was a momma’s boy and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
Survivors include his parents, Patty (Mike Williams) Touchette of Barry, Illinois and Scott (Renda) Wallace of Rushville, Illinois; a son, Ian Wallace of Nebo, Illinois; a daughter, Davani Starner of Baylis, Illinois; siblings, Timothy (April) Wallace of Rushville, Illinois, Deb (Andy White) Ottwell of Franklin, Illinois, Nathaniel (Brandi) Moore of Rushville, Illinois, Brandon (Mallory) Moore of Rushville, Illinois, Meredith (Wayne) King of San Antonia, Texas, Anthony (Amy) Moore of Chatham, Illinois; grandmother, Patsy Hite of Glen Carbon, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jean & Jenny McEuen, Noren Ottwell, Ira Thomas Wallace, William Hite; and his two dogs, Banjo and Gemma.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to his children, Ian Wallace and Davani Starner. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry, Illinois is handling the arrangements.
