Thomas Dale Spann

Thomas Dale Spann, age 36, of Barry, IL, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025.  He was born in Quincy, IL on June 17, 1989 to Terrill and Marcia (Wintjen) Spann. 

Thomas was raised in Barry, IL, graduating from Barry High School in 2007.  He worked with Xtreme Outfitters and at various outfitters in the area with his dad as well. He was an entrepreneur, known to be adventurous and spontaneous.  Tom could fix anything. 

He loved to hunt- deer and turkey especially, fishing, and working on vehicles, like his old Ford.  He had a great imagination and could tell some really good stories about his adventures.  He was funny, had a personable demeanor, and was very smart.  Tom was good with kids and was an animal lover.  His greatest joy was spending time with his kids.  

He is survived by his partner, Lori Orr and her children, Corey and Jazmine Orr; father, Terrill Spann of Barry, IL; son, Jaxen Spann; daughter, Salym Spann; brother, Jerrad (Kayla) Spann of Barry, IL; sisters, Tonya Spann of Barry, IL, and Casey Spann of Barry, IL; step mother, Shelley Spann; niece Journee Wainman; nephew, Devon Beahan; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded by; his mother, Marcia Spann; and grandparents, Jackie and Joyce Wintjen, and Edwin and Ailene Spann.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 4:00- 6:00 pm at Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry, IL.
