Tammy S. (Burge) Booth

Tammy S. Booth, age 64, of Pittsfield, IL passed away on Thursday May 23, 2024, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.  She was born on August 10, 1959, in Carrollton, IL to Burdette and Nina (Klunk) Burge. She married George Booth on March 30, 1984, in Kampsville, IL at the Presbyterian Church and he preceded her in death.

Tammy graduated from the Calhoun High School and went on to receive her associate's degree in accounting from Lewis and Clark. She worked at various places over the years, including Cardinal Inn as a cook, did some time working in home health care and also was an associate at the Dollar General.  Currently she was employed at the Ayerco Convenience Store.  She enjoyed crafting, sewing and working in her yard. But her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she loved spending time with them, as well as the rest of her family.  She loved her family big.  Tammy was a hardworking woman who was a fun and loving person that always walked into a room with a smile. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Tammy is survived by her mother, Nina Wilson, Kampsville, IL; two children, Kelley (Brian) Colston of Barry, IL and Dennis Burge of Kane, IL; step-daughter, Jennifer O’Brian of Colorado; grandchildren, Jacob Colston, Alexis Colston, Ian Colston, Devin Burge, Jersey Colston, Kyler Colston, Logan Burge; great-grandchildren, Jensen, James, Oakley and one on the way; siblings, Debby (Eddie Joe) Klunk of Kampsville, IL and Billie (Paula) Burge of Mt. Sterling, IL; and several nieces and nephews survive.  Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Burdette and her husband, George. 

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 11:30 AM at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, IL. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM prior to the service. Interment will be at the Indian Creek Cemetery in Hamburg, IL immediately following the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home.  Online condolences can be shared with the family at www.nieburfh.com.
