Steven Lynn Coultas, age 67, of Pittsfield, IL passed away Friday, April 22, 2022, at his home in Pittsfield, IL. He was born July 23, 1954, in Pittsfield, IL to Robert and Mary Guthrie Coultas. Steven Lynn Coultas, age 67, of Pittsfield, IL passed away Friday, April 22, 2022, at his home in Pittsfield, IL. He was born July 23, 1954, in Pittsfield, IL to Robert and Mary Guthrie Coultas. Steve married Kim Shinn July 1, 1977, at Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Frank Claybourne presiding and she survives.

Steve attended school at Pittsfield High School and enlisted in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. He began working at R&S Oil in Pittsfield in 1973 and continued working for them until 1985. Steve then began his over-the-road trucking career and continued until 2017 when his health would no longer allow him to work. He and Kim team drove for over 17 years seeing the entire US and part of Canada, he was known far and wide by his handle ‘Toad’. He loved race car driving and spent many years working with Ivan Long and many others. Steve enjoyed deer hunting, riding his motorcycles, and was an avid bowler and bowled on a league for many years. He loved spending time on the river, boating, water-skiing, and tubing with the kids and grandkids. In earlier years he was a member of the Moose, American Legion and was also a current member of Brotherhood of Bikers, Pike County Chapter. He was an easy-going but stubborn man who loved his family dearly, especially his grandkids who were his favorite tea-drinking buddies.

Steve is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kim Coultas; son, Steven Brian (Rebecca Fuget) Coultas of Barry, IL; daughters, Jackie (Andrew Wikston) Dryden of Hannibal, MO, Melissa (Paul) Dawdy of Roodhouse, IL and Stacy (Lucas) Biggers of Springfield, IL; seventeen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren with another on the way; and numerous cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Coultas; and brother, Robert Coultas.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, IL with interment at Camp Butler Cemetery in Springfield, IL at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home.
