Stanley Eugene Kuck

Stanley Eugene Kuck, age 79 of Pittsfield, IL passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. He was born September 27, 1946, in Pittsfield, IL to Chris and Gladys Barnes Kuck. Stanley first married Beverly Cheryl Butler February 18, 1966, and to this union they welcomed son, Scott. Stanley later married Brenda ‘Joyce’ Daniels November 4, 1995, in Pleasant Hill, IL and she survives.

Stanley spent his childhood on the farm in Calhoun County. He was a 1964 graduate of Pleasant Hill High School. Stanley joined the United States Navy in April 1966 and was stationed in Vietnam in June 1967 on the U.S.S. Intrepid and returned April 1968 as a jet engine mechanic. He then made a med cruise on the U.S.S. Forrestal from 1968 to 1969 and received his honorable discharge January 1970. After returning home, he went to General Telephone Company working as an installer and repairman for 24 years and then as a central office tech until his retirement in December 2002. Stanley later worked as a farmhand for Eric Dolbeare. He loved to hunt and fish, especially duck hunting, and was an avid trap shooter. Stanley was a lifetime member of PASA in Barry, member of Amateur Trap Shooting Association, past member of Barry American Legion Post #222, past commander of VFW Post #1489, past member of The Telephone Pioneers, and member of The New Salem Sportsmans Club until they closed.

Stanley is survived by his wife of 30 years, Joyce Kuck; son, Scott (Lee Ann) Kuck of Bowling Green, MO; stepchildren, Michelle (Roger) Brown and Steve (Bobbie) Moran; grandchildren, Kristin (Kyle) Kruse, Cheyenne Moran, Savannah Moran, Steven Hagy, Paige Brill, Timothy Truelove, Samuel Truelove, and Landan (Kelly) Truelove; and great grandchildren, Korbin Kruse, Karver Kruse, Kiersley Kruse, Kennslee Mae Moran, Azorra Hagy, Lilly Truelove, Braden Truelove, Matthew Truelove, and Trevor Truelove.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Gladys Kuck; and in-laws, Ervin and Edna Mae Daniels.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, December 22, 2025, at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, IL with visitation held prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Crescent Heights Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, IL. Memorials are suggested to be made to Crescent Heights Cemetery.
