Shane Robert Johnson

Shane Johnson, age 40 of Versailles, MO passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025. He was born April 29, 1985, in Pittsfield, IL to Pamela Rae Lord and Tim R. Johnson.

Shane will most importantly be remembered as a great dad who cherished spending time with his kids. He grew up in Pike County, IL and attended Pikeland schools. Over the years, Shane worked at County Market, Wendys, and BJs Restaurant in Jacksonville; and while living in Versailles he worked at Gates and in dietary at a local nursing home. He loved to fish, enjoyed doing auto body work on the side, writing music with his friends, and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. Shane was an animal lover, was a big-hearted guy, and a loyal friend who will be missed by all.

Shane is survived by his mother, Pamela Lord; father, Tim Johnson; children, Aiden McDonald, Weston Johnson, Emma Johnson, and Cohen Johnson; brothers, Kyle Johnson and Eric Johnson; sister, Beth Johnson; maternal grandmother, Linda Bennett; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Billie Kellerstraus and Paul Bennett; several great grandparents; and uncle, J. Mike Lord.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 9, 2026, at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with visitation held prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.
