Sandra Lee Midlam, age 83, passed away at Barry Healthcare and Senior Living in Barry, IL, on Saturday, November 29, 2025. She was born on October 20, 1942 in Clarksville, MO to Lewis and Arloween (Watts) Howdeshell.
She became a trained CNA and worked at the nursing home in Louisiana, MO, and was a homemaker.
Sandra was an avid reader, loved animals, loved to paint- animals and landscapes were her favorite, she was a big crafter, loved a good yard sale, thoroughly enjoyed a day at the beach, and loved to cook- whether it was good or not- “ricochet biscuits” and yeast rolls being her specialty. She was a loving mother who worked hard to keep her family together.
She is survived by; daughter, Lorena Monroe; grandchildren, Jason Trower, Carmen Smith, Nathan Blackorby, Jasmine Monroe, and Ben (Abigail) Monroe; great grandchildren, Isabelle (Austin) Rosas, Victor Tavares, and Baillie Blackorby; great-great granddaughter, Juniper Rosas; brothers, Loyd (Janet) Howdeshell, and Mike (Vickie) Edwards; sister, Darlene Midlam; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents, Lewis and Arloween Howdeshell; daughter, Paula Stokes; and sister, Anna Faye Aten.
