Sandra L. Looper

Sandra L. Looper, age 83, of Pittsfield, IL passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. She was born February 25, 1940, in Griggsville, IL to Ross and Geraldine Wainman Jeffries. Sandra married Robert Looper July 20, 1996, at Pleasant Hill, IL and he survives.

Sandra graduated from Griggsville High School in 1958 and went on to Gem City Business School. After finishing school, she went to work for the State of Illinois in Springfield. She later worked at Illini Community Hospital and Pike County Health Department performing clerical duties for the ambulance billing and vital record department; retiring from PCHD in 1997. Sandra attended Pittsfield Assembly of God church and enjoyed watching classic TV, camping at Lake Pittsfield and going out to eat. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and attending their activities. Sandra enjoyed entertaining while cooking out with friends and family.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 27 years, Robert Looper; son, Mike (Ann) Kelley of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Kim (Stacy) Flesner of Pittsfield, IL; stepson, Robert (Amy) Looper, Jr. of Holt, MO; eight grandchildren, Kody (Ashley) Smith; Keenan (Jodi) Smith, Jordan (Luke) Laub, Breanna (Nick Lettecci) Kelley, Jacey Jed Looper, Dani Jo Looper, Aaron Looper and Ellie Looper; and five great grandchildren, Raylan Smith, Baker Smith, Adaleigh Damon, Camden Damon and Bennett Damon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Geraldine Jeffries; and one son in infancy.

Service will be held privately and interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to be made to Pike County Animal Shelter.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.niebufh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
