Sandra Cammack Obituary

Sandra Cammack, age 61 of Pearl, IL, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Friday, November 10, 2023.  She was born on May 19, 1962, in Pearl, IL to Everett and Velma ‘Fern’ Schulte Triplett.  Sandra married the love of her life, William Cammack on March 5, 1983, and he preceded her in death on September 30, 2021.

Sandra grew up in Pearl, IL and attended the Nebo Schools.  God blessed her with the ability to cook and she began her working career at various restaurants throughout Pike County, including Hardee’s, The Corner Pantry, the Milton restaurant, and various others over the years. In later years she was known for feeding large crowds at local auctions, starting with Bob Evans and then Curless Auctions. At one time she drove a bus for the Work Activity and also prepared meals at the Kepley House. Sandra also was a compassionate care giver, taking care of many people throughout her life.

Sandra was an animal lover who took delight in caring for all of her animals, enjoyed horseback riding and loved spending time outdoors tinkering in her garden and flower beds. She liked to watch Westerns with her husband, Scooby Doo and Looney Toons with her grandkids, but her favorites were horror and action films. She also found enjoyment doing crossword puzzles and coloring with her grandchildren. Sandra loved her family and kept an entire china hutch full of her grandkid’s favorite snacks, they were the light of her life. Sandra was a selfless woman, whom was a hard worker, amazing care giver, loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by two sons, William (Sarah) Cammack III of Curryville, MO and Michael (Susan) Cammack of Pearl, IL; one daughter, Melissa Cammack of Pittsfield, IL; six grandchildren, Emma, Abigail, Gabriel, Arlee, Amelia, and Tessa; two brothers, Lonnie (Marcia) Triplett of Milton, IL and Everett (Diane) Triplett of Milton, IL; three sisters, Judy (Rodney) Carle of New Salem, IL, Cindy Tolbert of Louisiana, MO and Tina (Terry) Jarrett of Versailles, IL; brother-in-law, Jerry Cammack; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews survive.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Fern Triplett; husband, William Cammack; and mother-in-law Nellie Cammack.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, IL. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home.
