Roxanna Sue Ruschill

Roxanna Sue Ruschill, age 80, of New Canton, IL passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at her home.  She was born on September 22, 1941 in Keokuk, IA to Harold and Anna Mae Boyd Petty.  She married Marvin Ruschill on January 31, 1965 in Williamstown, MO and he survives.

Roxanna attended school in Keokuk, IA where she was raised by her grandparents, Alfred and Alice Boyd and spent most of her life as a homemaker.  She and Marvin enjoyed traveling to festivals where they set up a stand every year.  She also loved crocheting and doing puzzles, as well as being around family and going to family events.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 57 years, Marvin Ruschill; son, Rod (Judy) Carle of New Salem, IL; daughter, Rhonda Ruschill of Pittsfield, IL; grandchildren, Brandon, Amanda, Zachary, Imari, Leeann, April, Jayson, Chris, Cory, Anna, Shannon, Craig, and Jennifer; great grandchildren, Sami, Emily, Mary, George, Faith, Hope, Camren, Taylor, Kodi, Brayden, Hayden, Bryson, Chance, Sammy, Conner, Bella, and Jasmine; and great great grandchildren, Zoey and Ivey; and son-in-law, Jim Erke of New Canton, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Anna Mae Boyd Petty; son, Randy Carle; and daughters, Carla Erke and Terry Sutton.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry.  Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  Interment will be held privately at a later date at Shearer Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Marvin Ruschill.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
