Ronald E. Huffman

Ronald Huffman, age 72 of Pittsfield, IL passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Eastside Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Pittsfield, IL. He was born December 12, 1952, in Pittsfield, IL to Sherman E. and Betty I. Lynch Huffman.

Ronnie grew up in Pittsfield and attended Pittsfield schools. He had a tire shop in Detroit, IL before moving to Oklahoma where he worked as a construction contractor. Ronnie later moved to Hannibal, MO where he did handyman work. Ronnie’s greatest passion was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and he enjoyed fishing. He was a diverse music lover...as a young man he loved listening to Hard Rock & Roll music and later in life enjoyed listening to Patsy Cline. Ronnie liked watching NASCAR and old episodes of Gunsmoke on television. After settling in at Eastside, the staff became like family to him. He was stubborn, feisty, rough around the edges, but was also lovable and had a big heart.

Ronnie is survived by one son, Clint (Becky) Weir and family; aunt, Beverly Lynch; nieces, Debra (Kenny) Gwartney and Penny (Mark) Reel; and several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Betty Huffman; brother, Donald Huffman in infancy; and sister, Nancy Huffman.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a private burial will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
