Robert Hutton, Jr.

Robert E. Hutton, Jr., age 48, of New Salem, IL and formerly of Roodhouse, IL passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023. Robert was born March 14, 1975, in Jacksonville, IL to Robert and Sharon Buchanan Hutton, Sr. He married Laura M. Fry June 6, 1998, and she survives.

Robert worked as a mechanic with his uncle Dean Buchanan in Roodhouse in earlier years. He later joined the IBEW Local 51 where he met close family friend Nate, and they started a business together when he moved to Pike County in 2014. Robert was a member of IBEW Local 51 for over 20 years. He was a handyman who loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed four-wheeling. Robert was a dedicated and loving family man who cherished spending time with his children.

Robert is survived by his wife, Laura Hutton; sons, Robert Hutton III and Lucas Hutton, both of New Salem, IL; daughter, Shania Hutton of Arenzville, IL; sister, Mary Beth Hutton of White Hall, IL; and extended family, Nathan Davis and Wyvetta Davis of New Salem, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sharon Hutton, Sr.

Cremation rites have been accorded and services will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
