Robert E. Guthrie

Robert Guthrie, age 73, of Quincy, IL, passed away on November 27, 2023. He was born on July 31, 1950, in Pittsfield, IL to Ross and Lorene Baird Guthrie.

Robert enjoyed watching GunSmoke, WWE Wrestling, and loved telling entertaining stories to everyone that would listen. He loved his wife and family very much. 

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Guthrie; sisters, Carolyn Sue (Burdette) Brosie and Jeannie Guthrie-Norton; brother, Fred Guthrie; step-sister, Eva Collins; daughter, Tami (Richard) Tenney; sons, Robert Eugene (Michele) Guthrie Jr., and Robert Lee (Robin) Crain; and his grandchildren, Marisa (Marcus), Vanessa, Alyssa (Kody), Akoni (Emma), Kalarisa, Kalani (Hannah), Dylan, Treasure (Daniel), Hope, Josie (Dakota), and Tyler (Ashley). He is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Loraine Breurer; his father, Ross Guthrie; his brother, Ross Micheal Guthrie; and his great-grandson, Baby Troy.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 9, 2023, at The Crossing in Lima, IL. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
