Robert L. Foster

Robert L. Foster, age 82, of Pleasant Hill, IL passed away Monday, May 29, 2023, at Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield, IL. He was born October 25, 1940, in Dallas City, IL to Lloyd and Ruth Garrett Foster. Robert married Beverly Bennett Korf and to this union three children were born; and later married Brenda Foster.

Robert loved music and dancing and enjoyed playing pool and bowling. He was an avid John Deere collector and spent time restoring his collection and going to tractor shows. Robert also enjoyed doing daily crossword puzzles and occasionally liked to shoot clay pigeons.

Robert is survived by three children, David (Christina) Foster, Laura (Mark) McBride and Michael (Maryann) Foster; and five grandchildren, Damien Foster, Zachary McBride, Desiree Foster, Jade Foster, Samantha Foster and Casey (Chandra) Aspengren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Ruth Foster; sisters, Patricia Blickhan and Carolyn Murray; and grandson, Zachary McBride.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday June 10, 2023, at the Glade City Cemetery in Blandinsville, Iowa.  Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home.
