Phillip Keeling Obituary

Phillip D. Keeling, age 61, of Pittsfield, IL passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, at his home in Pittsfield. He was born June 2, 1961, in Pontiac, IL to Donald and Lois Reed Keeling.

Phillip grew up in Pontiac and Clinton, IL and later moved to Pittsfield. He worked at a grain mill, hog farm and also worked as a welder in a factory in Texas. Phillip also spent time as a roofer until his health kept him from working. Phillip enjoyed fishing, watching WWE Smackdown and was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan. He always enjoyed spending time with family and especially his son, Tim. He enjoyed demo derby cars with his son and spending time with his dogs and liked to go to yard sales. Phillip was a loving and caring dad who will be deeply missed by all.

Phillip is survived by son, Timothy (Kayla) Keeling of Pleasant Hill, IL; three grandchildren, Lathan White, Jaxson White and Karli White; brothers, Troy (Sandy) Keeling and Randy DeJaynes; and sisters, Martha DeJaynes and Corinnia Anglin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Keeling and Lois DeJaynes; son, Steven; daughter, Lisa; siblings, Danny Joe Keeling and Melinda Beth Keeling; and one grandchild in infancy.

Cremation rites have been accorded and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
