Patricia E. Meddings

Patricia E. Meddings , age 83, of Pittsfield, IL passed away on Monday January 27, 2025, at the Eastside Healthcare and Rehab Center.  She was born on October 18, 1941, in Camden, New Jersey.  Her parents were William and Viola C. Batty. 

Pat grew up in the Sewell, New Jersey area.  Over the years she worked as a CNA and in housekeeping in various homes.  She also owned and operated the L & P Bar in Lake Placid, FL.  Pat enjoyed reading and doing crosswords.  She loved helping raise her grandkids and attending their activities.  Pat could be feisty, sassy and had no problem expressing her opinion, but loved her family dearly.  She will be missed.

Pat is survived by one son, John (Michele) Neupauer of Pittsfield, IL; one daughter, Linda (Kim) Morris of Muncie, IN; grandchildren, Derek Neupauer, Rebecca Neupauer, Joshua Pike, Jennifer Williams; great-grandchildren, Kyle Pike plus six other great-grandchildren; brother, Orville ‘Scotty’ (Beverly) Scott.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, John Chew; one sister, Judy Engler.

Per Pat’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded, and there will be no public services.  Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
