Patricia (Tucker) Hooper

Patricia Hooper, age 76 of Pleasant Hill, IL passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. She was born December 17, 1948, in Keokuk, IA to Donald P. and Evelyn Jane Orr Tucker. Patricia married Alfred Lee Hooper April 3, 1971, at Pittsfield United Methodist Church and he preceded her in death January 16, 2010.

Patricia grew up in Keokuk, Iowa and attended school; after graduation, she went on to attend Gem City College beauty college. She worked at Stark Bros Nursery in the office for many years until her retirement. In her early years, she was a member of the Griggsville Saddle Club and enjoyed camping, trail rides, and horse shows with friends and family. Patricia loved a good spa day, getting her nails and hair done. She took great delight in her cats and tending to their needs and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles. Patricia was a hardworking and kind woman who cherished time spent with her grandchildren and she will be dearly missed by friends and family.

Patricia is survived by sons, Lance (Shelly) Hooper of Commiskey, IN and Phillip Hooper of Summer Hill, IL; grandchildren, Sean Hooper, Joe Hooper, Madalyn Sidwell and Ava Sidwell; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Evelyn Tucker; daughter, Amy Hooper Sidwell; in-laws, Waunda W. and Mary A. Peecher Hooper; and brother-in-law, Edgar Paul Hooper.

Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, June 20, 2025, at Summer Hill Cemetery in Summer Hill, IL. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home.
