Pat (Patton) Collins

Patsy Lee Collins, age 69 of Pittsfield, IL passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born April 30, 1954, to Charles and Helen Barnes Patton in Louisiana, MO. Patsy married Johnnie Bill Collins August 19, 1978, in Pittsfield, IL and he preceded her in death May 27, 2022.

In her earlier years, Pat worked in several area restaurants and was considered a good cook who excelled at making baked beans. Pat took her job as a wife, mother and grandmother very seriously; she could be a bit outspoken but was a kind and loving person with a heart of gold who was always looking out for her family. She enjoyed collecting cookie jars, taking car rides and playing Bingo and often enjoyed visits over a good cup of coffee.

Pat is survived by son, Joshua Collins of Pittsfield, IL; daughters, Angela Baskett and Tara Collins both of Pittsfield, IL; nine grandchildren, Demi (Devin) Clinton, Cody (Bri) Potter, Cassi (Hunter) Turner, Tori McKinnon, Brett Paben, Kylie Paben, Coltyn (Hailey) Pruner, Clara Long and Cole Long; six great grandchildren, Gabriella Clinton, Aquila Clinton, Isabella Turner, Lane Turner, Mason Pruner and Elizabeth Turner; brothers, Steve (Bonnie) Patton and Paul (Marcy) Patton; sisters, Wanda (Daniel) Ross, Shirley (Albert) Haislet and Tina Camerena; and several nieces, nephews and in-laws also survive

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Helen Patton; husband, Johnnie Bill Collins; daughter, Elizabeth Baskett; brothers, Charles Patton and Jack Patton; sisters, Susie VonKampen and Stacey Niffen; nephews, Matthew Gratton, Christopher Niffen and Jackie Patton; nieces, Sharon Cunningham and Pamela Bell; and several in-laws also preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, November 20, 2023, at Niebur Funeral Home with visitation held prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to be made to Niebur Funeral Home to help the family cover funeral expenses. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.
