Nancy A. Lash

Nancy A. Lash, age 74, passed away on Saturday November 15, 2025, at her home.  She was born on June 16, 1951, in Chicago, IL to Wayne and Maxine (Peer) Guthrie.  She married Ronald Lash on August 15, 1970, at the Independence Church and he survives.

Nancy graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1969 and went on to work as an EMT for the North Pike Ambulance District and the City of Pittsfield.  Nancy later had a daycare in her home for many years.  In her early years she was a Girl Scout leader, a Sunday school teacher and helped with the Perry Methodist Church Monday Dinners.  Nancy was an excellent cook, and her family’s favorites were her meatloaf, noodles and monkey bread.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, going to yard sales and was an avid reader.  Her greatest enjoyment in life was her family, and she was very involved with her children’s and grandchildren’s activities.  Nancy will be remembered for her kind, generous heart and was the most loving wife, mother, and grandma who will be deeply missed. 

Nancy is survived by her husband Ron; son, Mike (Shana) Lash; daughter, Rhonda (Rich) Stanley; grandchildren Greg (Jenni) Lash, Brenton (Jessica) Kilzer, Mike (Emily) Long, Freedom (Devin) McBride, Jasmine Long, Gabe Long, Rilee Lash, Ryan Lash, Reid Lash, Raegan Lash; great grandchildren, Aiden, Hadley, Kynslee, Lilly, Kobe, Thorfinn, Brenn; and her precious cat, Tippy.  She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Pam Lash; brother, Bill Guthrie.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, IL.  Interment will be at the Wilson Cemetery in Perry, IL.  Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
