Michael Pritchett, Sr.

Michael Pritchett, Sr., age 71 of Nebo, IL passed away Friday, March 6, 2026, at his home. He was born February 3, 1955, in Springfield, IL to Franklin Joe and Emma Iftner Pritchett. Michael married Karen Lane and to this union two sons were born.

Michael grew up in El Dara and later moved to Quincy and Villa Park, IL. He then returned to Pike County in his twenties. Michael was a self-employed heavy equipment mechanic working for many area farmers. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was a big part of the biking community and always enjoyed a cold one. Michael liked playing computer card games, listening to music, and will be remembered as a very opinionated man.

Michael is survived by sons, Michael (Robin) Pritchett, Jr. of Pittsfield, IL and Dalton (Bobby) Baker of Springfield, IL; grandchildren, Allyson Pritchett and Bradley Pritchett; and aunt, Patricia Sprague.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Pritchett; and brother, Joe Pritchett.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to be made to Nebo Church of the Nazarene. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
