Marjorie Ann Poor, age 64 of Pittsfield, IL passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at her home. She was born February 23, 1960, in Cape Girardeau, MO to Richard Delong and Jacqueline Mosely. Marjorie married Dale Poor February 14, 2016, at the Pittsfield Methodist Church and he survives.
Marjorie lived in La Plata, MO and later moved to Florida. Over the years, she worked in the banking and medical services industry. She was a faithful member of the Pittsfield United Methodist Church. Marjorie always enjoyed music and liked watching ‘America’s Got Talent’ and ‘American Idol’ and other shows that showcased talented singers. She enjoyed playing cards, games, cooking and was an avid animal lover. Marjorie was known for always having a smile on her face, a good sense of humor, and being a giving individual who always found the good in everybody. She loved her family with all of her heart, and was so proud of all her children, and her grandbabies. She loved the Lord and there is no doubt in our hearts that she is dancing in the streets of gold with all her loved ones and our savior Jesus Christ.
Marjorie is survived by her husband, Dale Poor; children, Luke (Kristy) Lazenby and Elizabeth (Curtis) Danos; grandchildren, Mya, Marissa, Morgan, Caleb, and Paisley; siblings, Penny Blanchard and Gregory (Dorathy) DeLong; and nieces and nephews, Jason (Jessica) Dufour, Jennifer Dufour, Annie Brabham, Richard (Lisa) DeLong and Linley (Josh) Rhodes.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard (Glenda) Delong; mother, Jacqueline Mosely; stepmother, Glenda Montamat; siblings, Louis DeLong and Karen DeLong; niece, Jana Laurent; and brother-in-law, Larry Blanchard.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and no services will be held at this time. A private interment will be at Hamburg Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are suggested to be made to Pike County Animal Shelter. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
