Margie Ellen Steuck, age 99, of Pittsfield, IL passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Liberty Village in Pittsfield.  She was born on November 6, 1922 in Winchester, IL to George and Minnie Davis Walker.  She married Robert Steuck on September 8, 1946 in Winchester and he preceded her in death on April 19, 2015.

Margie graduated from Winchester High School.  She went on to work at a factory in White Hall and later for Doc Shaw as his secretary and also for he and his wife at Pine Lakes.  She spent the rest of her years as a stay at home mother and homemaker.  In earlier years, Margie attended Detroit Methodist Church with her family.  She raised beautiful roses and loved to garden and she was known for her baking.  She enjoyed going to the Lake of the Ozarks and fishing as well as attending concerts, especially to see Ray Price.  Margie loved her family and always went to all of her grandchildren’s events.  She was quiet and loving with a positive attitude.  She was an all around good person and she loved her grandchildren very much.  Margie was so looking forward to her 100th birthday and she almost achieved it.
