Loretta Collard, age 92, of Branson, MO passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Shepherd of the Hills Living Center in Branson, MO. She was born on September 15,1931, in Pittsfield, IL to Homer Charles and Ethel (Harris) Browning. She married James Collard on May 21, 1949, in Hannibal, MO and he preceded her in death.
Loretta’s favorite hobby was playing cards (she loved to win). She always made it fun for everyone by playfully teasing during games. She also loved putting her puzzles together and reading. But most of all she loved spending time with her family. Her nieces and nephews lovingly called her ‘Reddy’.
Loretta is survived by her two sons, Gary Collard of Pittsfield, IL and Darrell (Pam) Collard of Lampe, MO; grandchildren, Ami Simon, Kristin Grunewald, Alicia Collard and Connor Collard; and great grandchildren, Henry Grunewald and Addison Pilkington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Ethel Browning; husband, James Collard; daughter, Lori Ann Collard; siblings, Victor Browning, Frances Sparks, Avonella Showers, LaVern Patterson and Homer Browning.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, IL with visitation to be held prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Cremation rites have been accorded and interment will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to be made to Pittsfield West Cemetery.
