Linda Miller Obituary

Linda Miller, age 71, of Canton, MO passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Lewis County Nursing Home in Canton, MO. She was born on November 18, 1950, in Pittsfield, IL to Len and Betty Ruble Booth. She married Danny Miller in 1994 and he preceded her in death.

Linda was a free spirit who was adventurous and sometimes contrary! Growing up she enjoyed trips to the river cabin with the family and always loved spending time on the boat. She met Danny, and this became a real turning point in her life. They first met in Quincy and later moved to LaGrange, MO. Together, they enjoyed restoring old classic cars, especially their El Camino. Before Danny passed an annual highlight was the tradition of him reading ‘The Christmas Story’. Linda was of strong Christian faith, and she enjoyed bible study at the nursing home where she shared a strong connection with the pastor. She loved Bingo, and arts and crafts and stayed long after her numbers had been called.

Linda is survived by daughter, Melissa Curtis of Pittsfield, IL; two stepchildren, Tonya Baymiller and Doug Miller; five step-grandchildren; two brothers, Berry (Brenda) Booth of Pittsfield, IL and Bruce Huffman of Pleasant Hill, IL; sister, Ruth Ann Udell of Naples, FL; aunts, Pat Ruble and Lollie Ruble; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her father, Len Booth; mother, Betty Huffman; stepfather, Truman Huffman; and several aunts and uncles.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a service will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to be made to Lewis County Nursing Home Activity Fund. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
