Linda B. (Lewis) Donohoo

Linda B. Donohoo, age, 85 of Pittsfield, IL passed away Friday December 19, 2025, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.  She was born on August 28, 1940, to William C. and Vivian (Dexter) Lewis.  Linda married Kenneth Donohoo on December 5, 1960, in Farmington, MO and he survives.

Linda grew up on the family farm west of Pittsfield and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1958.  She went on to attend the Gem City Beauty Academy in Quincy, IL and received her Cosmetology license.  Linda had a beauty shop in her home for many years, while also being a homemaker and raising her children.  She currently worked as a librarian at the Pittsfield Public Library.  Linda was a longtime faithful member and secretary at the Calvary Baptist Church in Pittsfield.  She loved the outdoors, where she found solace working in her beautiful flower garden and raising monarch butterflies. Kenny and Linda worked together planting a large vegetable garden each year.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed oil painting on canvas.  She and Kenny travelled on a European and an Alaskan tour and in her later years they wintered in Florida.  Linda was the best wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she loved her grandsons dearly.  She will be missed by all who knew her. 

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Kenny; children, Rhonda (Rex) Syrcle of Pittsfield, IL, Roger Donohoo of Versailles, IL and Marcia (David) Grant of Arnold, MO; six grandsons, Ray (Jessica) Syrcle, Ryan ( Jenna Fasig) Syrcle, Major Benjamin Conrad (Morgan) Donohoo, Samuel (Jenna) Donohoo, Christopher (Kathy) Grant, and Nicholas Grant; one great grandson, Conrad Joseph Donohoo; brother Weldon Conrad  (Karen) Lewis; sister-in- law, Maxine Lewis; nieces, Michele Rebensdorf, Jennie Taylor; nephew Scott Lewis; and brother-in-law, Gary (Sharon) Donohoo.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Vivian Lewis; brother, Thomas Edwin Lewis; and nephew, William Conrad ‘Billy’ Lewis.

Services will be held on December 30, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church in Pittsfield, IL with a visitation prior to the services from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the church.  Interment will follow the service at the Pittsfield West Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to be made to the Pittsfield Public Library or the Mississippi Valley Christian Service Camp.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
