Lillian Kremer Obituary

Lillian Charlotte Kremer, age 88, of Pittsfield, IL passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at her home.  She was born on November 26, 1933 in Calhoun County to Julius and Minnie Pearl Webb Daack.  She married William Kremer in 1952 and he preceded her in death on October 4, 1993.

Lillian graduated from Kampsville High School.  She went on to get married and begin a family, staying home to raise her children.  She was an accomplished seamstress doing altering, mending, sewing, and upholstering for people all over in the community.  She also worked at Dainty Dress as a seamstress and Ruble’s Star Cleaners doing alterations.  Lillian was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Pittsfield, a past member of Women’s Club, and served as an election judge.  She enjoyed going to the casino and also to bingo every Friday night. She loved gathering with her family, spending time with her grandkids, and visitors stopping by her house.  She liked watching the St. Louis Cardinals and dearly loved her cat, Booger.  Lillian was hardworking and very family oriented.  She will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her children, Kim Kremer of Pittsfield, IL, Tim (Diane) Kremer of Nebo, IL, and Elesha (Mike) Schlabs of Pittsfield, IL; ten grandchildren, Angela (Steve) Kemner of Quincy, IL, Brandy (Steve) Allred of Pittsfield, IL, Kimberly Kremer of Palmyra, MO, Justin (Tabby) Kremer of Baylis, IL, Amy (David) Kremer of Jacksonville, IL, Ryan (Katy) Kremer of Pittsfield, IL, Morgan (David) Sealock of Nebo, IL, Charlotte Rashel (Zach) Schlabs of Pittsfield, IL, Paul Schlabs of Normal, IL, and Jeff (Lori) Schlabs of Springboro, OH; twenty-one great grandchildren; one great great grandchild on the way; brother-in-law, Maurice Lammy of Kampsville, IL; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Brangenburg of Kampsville, IL and Sieglinde Daack of Oregon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Minnie Pearl Daack; husband, William Kremer; two granddaughters, Jennifer Len Schlabs and Michelle Schlabs; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Kremer; brothers, Alloys Daack and C.W. (Vera) Curtis; sisters, Dorothy Churchman, Cecil Armstrong, and Zoe Jackson; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2021 at 2:30 PM at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield.  Interment will follow at Pittsfield West Cemetery.  Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to be made to Pike County Animal Shelter.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
