Larry Clendenny

Larry D. Clendenny, age 63 of Pittsfield, IL passed away on Tuesday November 21, 2023.  He was born on December 1, 1959, in Pittsfield, IL to William ‘Bill’ and Florence Wheeler Clendenny.

Larry worked for Longhorn Confinement for several years and also for New London Welding as well as several other local businesses.  He was a hard worker and always enjoyed the work he did.  Larry was a very likable guy and never knew a stranger.  Larry would give someone the shirt off his back if he thought it would help them.  He could be very funny and always enjoyed a good phone conversation.  Larry had a great memory and could remember everyone’s birthday, phone number, or anniversary.  He loved his family and will be missed.

Larry is survived by son, Bentley; two brothers, Gary (Janice) Clendenny and Merlin (Laura) Clendenny; three sisters, Gail (Roger) Walston, Marilyn Baughman and Laura (Bill) Grimsley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; his parents, Bill and Florence Clendenny; one brother-in-law Randy Baughman; one niece, Jennifer Clendenny; and one great nephew, Cody Walston.

Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, December 1, 2023, at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, IL with visitation held prior to the service from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM.  Interment will follow the service at the Summit Grove Cemetery in Kampsville, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
