Landa Jenkins

Landa Y. Jenkins, age 77, of Pittsfield, IL passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Eastside Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Pittsfield, IL. She was born April 22, 1949, in Alton, IL to Cleo and Marjorie Stotler Jenkins.

Landa grew up in Wood River, IL and was a graduate of Wood River High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in teaching at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO and taught at a Christian School for a short time. Landa later worked in the office at Mississippi Lime in Alton, Wood River Walmart in the electronic department, and then cared for her dad until the time of his passing. She was active with her church for many years, was an independent woman who kept to herself, and loved her cats dearly.

Landa is survived by brothers, Howard (Cyndi) Jenkins, Bob (Dana Malone) Jenkins, and Gary (Darlene) Jenkins; sisters, Sharon (Mike) Boland and Kay (Dan) Cathorall; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Marjorie Jenkins; and sister, Dolores Robinson.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, IL with visitation held prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Private interment will be held at Valhalla Memorial Cemetery in Godfrey, IL. Memorials are suggested to be made to Pittsfield Assembly of God Church.
