Kristina L. Kimber

Kristina Lynn Kimber, age, 35 of Pittsfield, IL passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. She was born April 22, 1988, in Martinez, CA to Jay Lee Kimber and Diane Lynn Vincent.

Kristina was a 2006 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She served in the Army National Guard from 2006 to 2012 and was stationed in Alaska and was deployed to Japan. Kristina earned her LPN degree at Hannibal-LaGrange College and worked at Blessing Hospital in Quincy and went on to become a traveling LPN working for Wexford in Mt. Sterling, Clinton and Moberly. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends over coffee and liked to make decals with her Cricut for t-shirts, cups and vehicles. Her greatest pride and joy were her beautiful daughters, she was a dedicated dance and sports mom who loved attending all of their events. Cherished memories included attending Adam Wainwright’s last ballgame with Summer and taking fun and goofy pictures with Harper. She was an onery, strong-willed and supportive woman who will be best remembered as a loving mother with a bright, shining smile.

Kristina is survived by her daughters, Summer Kimber and Harper Schimpf of Pittsfield; parents, Jay (Amanda Powers) Kimber of Pittsfield and Diane Little of Pittsfield; stepfather, James ‘Jim’ Little of Pittsfield; siblings, Jerry (Taylor) Kimber, Anthony (Jennifer) Kimber, April Carnes, DJ Little, Maegan Young, Brittney Emerick, Austin (Susan Gregory) Little and Sydney Little; companion, William ‘Will’ Sears; and special friend, Cagney Schimpf.

She was preceded in death by stepmother, Lori Kimber; paternal grandparents, Joy Kimber and Mary Lindsley; maternal grandparents, Lillian Elizabeth Vincent and Ernest Leroy Vincent; step-grandmother, Donna Swofford; and cousin, Richard Littlefield.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with Nursing Honors and Military Honors.  A visitation held prior to the service from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to be made to Summer and Harper’s Educational Fund. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.
