Judy Thiele Obituary

Judy K. Thiele, age 75 of Pittsfield, IL passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Liberty Village in Pittsfield, IL. She was born July 11, 1950, in Quincy, IL to James and Lillian Rose Watts Bean. Judy married Charles Thiele July 11, 1968, in Michigan and he survives.

Judy was a 1968 graduate of Brown County High School in Mt. Sterling. After she and Chuck married, he was drafted in the United States Army, and they were stationed in Germany. Chuck was then sent to Vietnam, and Judy moved home to Perry, and they later moved to Pittsfield.  Over the years, Judy worked at Farm & Home, cooked at the Moose and Red Dome, worked at Brown Shoe and Niebur Funeral Home, and called Capital Records her last job. She then became a full time stay at home mom and Nana, which was her true calling. Judy loved crafting and enjoyed gifting friends and family with wreaths and floral arrangements. She was a wonderful cook, and everyone especially loved her potato salad and dressing; and she always took great delight in cooking for the Fire Department. Judy was a doting and wonderful Nana who loved attending her grandchildren’s activities when able. She also loved spending time vacationing with her family and cherished trips to Branson. Judy was a loving, caring, and kind woman who was always the protector of her family and she will be dearly missed by all.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Chuck Thiele; sons, Mark (Annette) Thiele of Monmouth, IL and Steve Thiele of Pittsfield, IL; grandchildren, Daniel (Desirae) Thiele, Logan (Emily) Thiele, Wade (Elizabeth) Thiele, Brittany (Joel) Stephenson, and Haley Thiele; great grandchildren, Preston Pence, Brooks Thiele, Jada Thiele, Hudson Thiele, and Landon Stephenson; brothers, William (Rhonda) Bean and David (Julie) Bean; sister, Willa Jean (Gary) Kerker; and brother-in-law, Randy (Lonette) Thiele.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lillian Bean; brother, Michael Bean; and in-laws, Charles and Marilyn Thiele.
