Jody Rennecker Obituary

Jody Lynn Rennecker, age 56, of Bowling Green, MO passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Hannibal Regional Hospital. She was born August 13, 1967, in Pittsfield, IL to Ronald David and Judith Irwin Kirby.

Jody was a 1985 graduate of Barry High School and attended Pittsfield Assembly of God Church. Jody worked as a CNA at Barry Community Care Center for 23 years and later worked at Jiffi Stop in Pittsfield until she was forced to retire in October 2016 due to health reasons. Jody liked to crochet, work puzzles, play board games and watch crime shows and game shows on tv. She deeply loved her family and enjoyed camping and fishing with them. Jody was known to be a tad bit onery and had a wonderful sense of humor and will be missed dearly by those who knew her.

Jody is survived by son, Johnathan (Katie Myers) Reeder of Bowling Green, MO; daughter, Judy Rennecker of Griggsville, IL; granddaughter, Lucy Mahnke; and sisters, Julie Mason of Barry, IL and Rachel (Daniel) Scranton of Lebanon, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Judith Kirby; stepmother, Carolyn Kirby; and two stepbrothers, Ron Crossman and Rob Crossman.

Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services at this time. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
