Jesse Davidsmeyer

Jesse Davidsmeyer, age 18 of Pittsfield, IL passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025. He was born January 23, 2007, in Quincy, IL to Jeremy M. and Mallory Lyn Beard Davidsmeyer.

Jesse was born and raised in Pittsfield and attended Pittsfield schools, where he was currently a senior with the Class of 2025. Jesse was baptized in May 2018 and was a pure, generous and beautiful soul who will be remembered as a loyal friend to many. Jesse was an outstanding athlete with a passion for Saukee football where he sported #36 as a fullback and loved his teammates and coaches who he considered family. His accomplishments went beyond the gridiron; he was also a member of Pike County Swim Team, worked as a lifeguard at King Park Pool and was a PHS wrestler. One of his greatest loves was weightlifting at Body Shop Fitness with his dad, Jeremy and he will be dearly missed by his gym family. Not only did Jesse and Jeremy share a love of weightlifting where he will always be his dad’s spotter but also a shared tattoo of Thor’s hammer. Jesse valued spending quality time with mom, Mallory with their nightly talks, hugs, and backrubs. Jesse loved listening to and blaring his music, singing and playing his guitar, and was considered quite the entertainer. He was an outstanding brother, enjoying playing football, basketball, fishing, video gaming, and playing at the creek at Grandma Cathy’s with his brothers. He also dearly loved his pups, Richie and Scarlett. Jesse was known to partake of multiple snacks daily at Grandma & Grandpa Beard’s and especially enjoyed Grandma and Aunt Carley’s cupcakes with lots of icing and her cookie cake; he also would never turn down Grandma Cathy’s pumpkin bars! He was also fond of spending time building and tinkering in Grandpa Craig’s workshop. Jesse was true to himself, always a happy go lucky guy, loved his friends and family dearly, and had a smile that could light up a room.

Jesse is survived by his loving parents, Jeremy and Mallory Davidsmeyer; brothers, Caden John Davidsmeyer and Odyn Jeremiah Davidsmeyer; grandparents, Cathy Chamberlain, Michael and Karen Davidsmeyer, and Craig and Monica Beard; great-grandparents, Jim and Donna Davidsmeyer and Judy Olson; aunts and uncles, Tyler Voiles, Ashley (Ben) Gress, Alayna Beard, Carley (Robert) Taylor, Dylan Beard, Doug Davidsmeyer, and Jared Davidsmeyer; several great aunts and great uncles; and numerous cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Durrell B. and Barbara Chamberlain, Don and Nettie Beard, and John Olson; and great uncle, Donnie Beard.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, June 2, 2025, at Pittsfield Church of the Nazarene with interment to follow the service at West Cemetery in Pittsfield, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield. The family requests that you wear gym attire, Saukee gear, or casual dress to the visitation and funeral. Memorials are suggested to be made to Body Shop Fitness.
