Jeffrey Lynn Allen

Jeffrey Lynn Allen, age 59, of Pittsfield, IL passed away Friday, September 6, 2024, at Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield, IL. He was born September 12, 1964, in Wood River, IL to George William and Rosa Jane Silkwood Allen. Jeffrey married Michelle Anderson February 4, 2004, in Bowie County, TX and she survives.

Jeffrey worked for several years in the construction industry. Jeffrey considered himself an amateur archeologist and he loved hunting for arrowheads and artifacts in creeks and enjoyed carving objects out of stone. He was a singer and songwriter who played guitar for many years and enjoyed the artistry of motorcycles and cars.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife of 20 years, Michelle Allen of Pittsfield, IL; mother, Rosa Whitley of Pittsfield, IL; children, Rosa Marie (Trevor) Anderscavage, Ethen William Allen, Leah Beth Allen and Rachel Layton; and brother, Douglas Wayne Whitley.

He was preceded in death by his father, George William Allen; and siblings, Mark Allen, Pamela Sue Allen and Gale Lavern Allen.

Cremation rites have been accorded and visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, IL.
