Jeffery Martin

Jeffery Wayne Martin, age 53, of Jefferson City, MO and formerly of Pittsfield, IL passed away Friday, July 14, 2023, at his home. He was born August 12, 1969, in Heber Springs, AR to Ronald ‘Yogi’ and Brenda Simmerman Martin.

Jeff was a member of the Class of 1988 at Pittsfield High School. After school he moved to Hannibal, MO and worked at the Kraft Plant as a custodian for several years and later moved to Jefferson City. In earlier years, Jeff enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Jeff always enjoyed music and will be remembered as a kind and caring friend.

Jeff is survived by his parents, Ronald ‘Yogi’ and Brenda Martin of Pittsfield, IL; brother, Michael Martin of Pittsfield, IL; sisters, Sonya (Rob) Benson of Barry, IL and Carrie (John) Sydney of Pittsfield, IL; aunts and uncles, Joyce Cain, Shelly (Dave) Seppala, Garry (Chris) Simmerman, Barb (Bruce) McKee, Gene Martin and Ruth Ann Littrel; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arnold and Bernice Martin and Kit and Cora Simmerman; and two uncles, John Martin and Roger Martin.

Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services held at this time. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
