Jeanne Ann (Jeffries) Personett

Jeanne Ann Personett, age 79, of Pittsfield, IL passed away Monday, July 29, 2024, at Liberty Village in Pittsfield. She was born January 31, 1945, in Long Beach, CA to Richard and Lois Nicholson Jeffries. Jeanne married Garry Dee Personett in Pittsfield, IL and he preceded her in death April 15, 2018.

Jeanne was a 1963 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a member of Baylis Baptist Church. She worked as a secretary at ASCS office until 1995 and later worked at Corn Belt Bank for several years where many lifelong friendships were made. After retirement she took on her most rewarding job, caring for her grandchildren. Jeanne always put family first and enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren in all their activities. She also loved family gatherings and took great delight in hosting a big Halloween party for the grandchildren. Jeanne took special pride in her flowers, enjoyed watching birds, decorating her home and camping with Garry over the years. She was a soft spoken, kindhearted and giving woman who will be dearly missed by friends and family.

Jeanne is survived by sons, Steve (Teresa) Personett of Pittsfield, IL and Mark Personett of Barry, IL; daughter, Stacy (John) Raftery of Barry, IL; nine grandchildren, Caitlyn (Adam) Hulvey, Abigail (Levi) Cooley, Alicia (Justin) McCarl, Kenna (Adam) De Fina, Shelby Mager, Korbyn Personett, Keller Personett, Emma Raftery and Ethan Raftery; ten great grandchildren, Cora Mager, Elaina Hulvey, Gabriel De Fina, Charli De Fina, Lucas Hulvey, Ulric McCarl, Arlo McCarl, Raelynn Cooley, Maileigh Cooley and Kash Cooley; brother, Gary (Cheree) Jeffries; sister, Diana McCartney; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lois Jeffries; husband of over 50 years, Garry Personett; and son, Chad Personett in infancy.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 2, 2024, at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with visitation held prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Pittsfield West Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to be made to West Cemetery. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.
