Jason R. Dell

Jason Robert Dell, age 46, of rural New Salem, IL passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at his home.  He was born on September 20, 1975 in Pittsfield, IL to Dennis and Debbie Johnson Dell.

Jason graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1995.  He began working for FS at the age of 16 and continued working there until his health no longer allowed him to.  It was a job he really enjoyed and they were very good to him.  Jason enjoyed hunting, riding 4wheelers, and jet skiing.  He loved sports, collecting baseball cards, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.  Jason was quiet and hardworking, and just a genuinely good man.  He will be missed.

He is survived by his father, Dennis (Michelle) Dell of New Salem, IL; brothers, Brandon (Justine) Dell of Kansas, Aaron (Stephanie) Grimsley of Pleasant Hill, IL, and Cody Tipton of Quincy, IL; sister, Tracie Grimsley of Louisiana, MO; aunts and uncles, Cheri and Gene Myers of New Salem, IL, Joann and Ron Booth of Pittsfield, IL, and Mark Johnson, Riggston, IL; step grandmother, Mickey Copher of Pittsfield, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Debbie Dell; and grandparents, Lewis and Miriam Dell and Robert and Margaret Johnson; uncle, Bill Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 6:00 PM at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield.  Visitation will be held prior to the service on Monday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials are suggested to be made to Huntington’s Disease Society of America.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
