James Isaac Robertson, age 88, of rural Kinderhook, IL passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at the Barry Healthcare in Barry, IL with his family at his side. He was born on August 31, 1935, in Pleasant Vale Township to Charles Edwin and Goldie Embree Robertson.
Jim grew up in the Hadley Township and was a farmer his entire life, except when he enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1959 where he was a heavy truck driver. He was honorably discharged in 1961. He was a hardworking, very selfless, simple man who was loved by all who knew him. Jim was of the Christian faith and was able to give his life to Jesus before he passed. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and neighbors.
Jim is survived by sisters, Sharon (Nick) Brown of Kinderhook, IL and Freda Rudolph of Wood River, IL; brother-in-law, Artie Harris; sister-in-law, Heidi Robertson; numerous nieces and nephews; and his furry friend, Bob the cat.
