I. Naomi Ruble

Ina Naomi Ruble, age 79, of rural Nebo, IL passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at her home.  She was born on January 18, 1944 in Gibson City, IL to Hubert and Alma Smith Stipp.  She married Archie Ruble on October 19, 1968 in Gibson City and he preceded her in death on June 13, 2012.

Naomi graduated from Gibson City High School and went on to work for a local bank.  After she was married, she became a farmwife which was a role she took on proudly.  She also worked at Liberty Village for many years, even receiving her CNA at age 65.  Naomi had various duties on the farm that included tending hogs, building fence, and taking meals to the field.  She was ready to help out where ever she was needed.  She also enjoyed gardening and canning her produce as well as tending to her blueberry patches.  Naomi loved baking and cooking and most of all, spending time with her granddaughters. She spoke with much consideration, was a hardworking woman and a wonderful example of faithfulness.

She is survived by her son, Philip (Jennifer) Ruble of Nebo, IL; two granddaughters, Sadie Ruble and Addy Ruble; two brothers, Edgar Stipp of Ottumwa, IA and Stephen (Julie) Stipp of Fairbury, IL; two sisters, Velda (Stephen) Holloway of Kennewick, WA and Doris (Alvin) Loyd of Sesser, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Alma Stipp; husband, Archie Ruble; and son, Paul Ruble.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield.  Interment will follow at Burbridge Cemetery near Martinsburg.  Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to be made to Burbridge Cemetery.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
