Gregory Dale Graves

Gregory Dale Graves, age 71 of Ursa, IL, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Born in Pittsfield, IL, on March 31, 1950, he was the son of Barney and Lenora (Duff) Graves. He married Mae Sue Reichert on September 28, 2002, and she passed away September 26, 2021.

A graduate of Pittsfield High School, Greg also attended college. He attended the Pittsfield Church of the Nazarene. Greg  worked at various jobs including delivering for Cassanos and worked as an inventory supervisor for grocery stores. He loved attending concerts, baseball and football games and loved the Kansas City Chiefs. Greg  documented and kept all records from his travels and loved all things including music and history. He was hardworking, meticulous and was very helpful with others.

Survivors include his step-sons, Mikel Glenn Franks of Kansas City, MO, and John Eldon Smith of Quincy, IL; step-daughter, Susan (Mark) Tanner of La Grange, MO; step-grandchildren, Olivia Smith of WA and Levi Tanner of La Grange, MO; nieces, Teresa Higus (David) of Terra Haute, IN, and Sharon Graves of Mendon, IL; great nieces and nephews, Eric Higus (Ashley Wood) of Washington, IL, Timothy Higus (Eleanor) of Peoria, IL, Crystal (Steve) Dieterle of Quincy, IL, Roger Mark Graves II (Jessie) of Chatham, IL, Katie (John) Ohnemus of Mendon, IL, and Matt Graves of Monroe City, MO; and 11 great-great-nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Lenora Graves; one brother, Donald (Veda) Graves and one sister, Rosemary Graves; and a nephew, Roger Graves.
