Goldie Joan Heavner was welcomed to her heavenly home Sunday, February 15, 2026. She is the daughter of loving parents, Jacob and Claire Heavner of Pittsfield, IL.
She was diagnosed with Trisomy 18 and though her prognosis was fatal, each day her heart continued to beat—until 31 weeks—was a precious gift. Goldie was then lovingly carried alongside her twin sister, Sunny Ross, for the remainder of the pregnancy. Though no longer physically present in the same way, her presence was deeply felt. She remained close, wrapped in the same warmth, sharing the same space she had known from the very beginning.
Goldie’s brief but beautiful life has left an everlasting imprint on her family, a reminder that love is not measured in time, but in depth.
Goldie is survived by her parents, Jacob and Claire Heavner; sisters, Mae Noelle Heavner and Sunny Ross Heavner; grandparents, Jayson and Lisa Heavner of Pittsfield, IL, Andrea and Brian Bach of Taylorville, IL, and Mike Nolan of Taylorville, IL; great grandparents, Jerry and Helen Heavner, Larry Brockhouse, and Bob and Jenell Bach; aunts and uncles, Suzanne (Johnny) Nolan-Strle, Alyssa (Tyler) Moore, Jerad Heavner, Abigail (Vance) Geisendorfer, Jaydon (Lacey Herron) Heavner, and Avery (Cordell McKee) Heavner; and several cousins survive.
She was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by her great grandparents, Brad and Joan Bollinger—her cherished namesake—together with Larry and Mary Nolan and Nancy Pressey.
Funeral service will be held privately. Memorials are suggested to be made to the Mae and Sunny Heavner Educational Fund. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
