Floyd E. Johns

Floyd E. Johns, age 68, of Hull, IL passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024, at his home. Floyd was born December 5, 1956, in Carrollton, IL to Donald E. and Shirley Powell Johns. Floyd first married D’Ann Randolph and to this union Carmen and Eddie were born, he then married Shelly Coonrod and to this union Dustin, Kaleb, Jordan and Jennifer were born, and Floyd later married Sandy Todaro whom he spent 14 years with.

Floyd attended Pittsfield schools and then attended auctioneering school in Mason City, IA where he obtained his auctioneering license. Floyd collected and sold Indian artifacts throughout his life. He enjoyed hunting duck and deer and loved to fish. He loved spending time with his family and would fry deer meat for family gatherings. Floyd had a big heart and was easy going and will be fondly remembered by those close to him as ‘Fast Eddie’.

Floyd is survived by his mother, Shirley Johns; sons, Carmen (Heidi) Landreth, Floyd ‘Little Eddie’ Johns, Dustin (Holly Couch) Johns, Kaleb (Roberta) Johns, and Jordan Johns; daughter, Jennifer Johns; fourteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings, Kevin Johns and Becky (Ernie VanHook) Johns; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive; and companion, Ramona Wolfe.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Johns; brother, Donnie Johns; and sister, Pam Howland.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Nebo Community Center with visitation held prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Dinner will be provided for family and friends following the service.  Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home.
