Elizabeth G. (Kells) Andrew

Elizabeth Kells Andrew, age 64 of Winchester, IL and formerly of Griggsville, IL passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2025, at Memorial Hospital in Springfield, IL. Liz was born February 9, 1961, in Pittsfield, IL, the 6th child to Earl and Lillie Mae Barrow Kells. She married Mark Andrew January 17, 1998, and he preceded her in death February 4, 2020.

Liz was raised in Florence, IL and attended Detroit Grade School and was in the last graduating Class of 1979 at East Pike High School. In her early years, she babysat for area families. Later, she worked at Pathway in Jacksonville and Liberty Village in Pittsfield. She enjoyed camping with her husband Mark, doing puzzle books, taking her nephew Ben fishing, and attending country music concerts. Liz was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and New England Patriots. She was also a member of Praying Hands Church Ministries in Louisiana, MO.

Liz is survived by sisters, Joyce Sitton, Debra Anders, and Martha (David) Sharrow; sisters-in-law, Linda Kells and Lynnann Kells; several nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and great nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Andrew; parents, Earl and Lillie Mae Kells; brothers, Stephen Kells and George Kells; sisters, Sandra Swartz and Morocca Kells; nephews, Matt Swartz, Ken Anders, Jr., and Joe Kells; and niece, Heather Kells; brothers in law, Jack Sitton, Kenneth Andress, and David Swartz.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to be made to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
