Edward “Eddie” Lee Doyle, 56, of Sorento, IL and formerly of Nebo, IL died Friday, January 12, 2024, at his mother’s residence in Nebo. He was born July 14, 1967, in Pittsfield, the son of Edward Eugene and Shirley Ann Williams Doyle.
Eddie was employed by Louisiana Plastics for several years, then worked for Excel in Beardstown before assisting with disaster cleanup throughout the country with the MBEK Group. He most recently worked as a carpenter for Just For You Construction. Eddie had a passion for the outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish, whittle and was a skilled woodworker. He enjoyed making arrowheads and chipping rocks to make unique artifacts.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Doyle of Nebo, one son, Trey Doyle of Tampa, FL; one granddaughter, Eva Marie-Bostick of Tampa, FL; one sister, Suzette Marie (Mike) Winfield of Baylis; two brothers, Ritchie (Linda) Doyle of Nebo and Rustie Doyle of Jacksonville; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and longtime friend, Therese Bick of St. Louis, MO. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Doyle.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, January 22, 2024, at Burbridge Cemetery, rural Pittsfield. Memorials are suggested to the family c/o Niebur Funeral Home.
