Deborah A. Bartlett, age 70 of Pittsfield, IL passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield, IL. She was born December 23, 1954, in Pittsfield, IL to Carl E. and Pauline Niccum Bartlett.
Deb grew up on a farm near New Salem and graduated from Griggsville High School. Deb was a simple person, hardworking, and honest as the day is long. Over the years, she worked for Stark Bros Nursery in Louisiana, MO, spent many years working at Eastside Gardens for Bill Scheiwe, and helped Mike Lightle with painting and varnishing. Deb was a nature lover who enjoyed flowers and watching the hummingbirds and squirrels. She always enjoyed a good cold one with her friends and especially cherished time spent with her dear friend and partner in crime, Linda Test.
Deb is survived by brother, Kelly (Diana) Bartlett; uncle, Larry (Dee) Bartlett; aunt, Nancy Bartlett; uncle, Ed ‘Butch’ (Mary Ann) Niccum; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Linda Test.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Pauline Bloyd; grandparents, Russel and Betty Niccum and Kyle and Mildred Bartlett; brother, Dan Bartlett; aunts, Dorothy Conkright, Karen Burbridge, and Dora Zumwalt; and uncle, Carol Bartlett.
Per Deb’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and no services will be held. Memorials are suggested to be made to West Cemetery. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
